About Executive Development Programmes
The Rashtriya Raksha University has spearheaded the specialized security Training Programmes in the country since its inception. The university has conducted several impact training programmes of varied durations comprising of core & interdisciplinary domains of security, policing, forensics, cyber security & digital forensics, criminology & victimology and security laws. The courses are tailor-made to suit the specific training requirement of the skill gaps of the trainees or to upgrade their existing skill sets. The programmes have helped the professionals in gaining a deeper understanding of security frameworks, law enforcement & investigative strategies, legal acumen to evolve themselves as a better leader who can aptly handle the challenges & opportunities in their professional space. The programmes offer them a competitive edge through empowering knowledge and leadership capacity building for excelling in all domains of security functioning.
The university has been conducting in-house designed courses by understanding the challenges of the field as well as it also conducts programmes which are customized as per the request of agencies based on their requirements. The modules are delivered by the renowned internal faculties and famed external experts who are invited to such programmes. The learning pedagogy involves a balanced amalgamation of theoretical, practical, team work, field visits and simulation studies with a viewpoint of providing all-inclusive learning experience.
The Executive Development programmes at RRU are given enormous importance as a method of serving the society through the transfer of knowledge of the university to field professionals. This is evident from the vision of our Hon. Director-General, Dr. Bimal N Patel who has coined the TREE (Training, Research, Education & Extension) model for bringing about excellence in all university affairs and Training is right at the forefront of his vision.

Important Information for Trainees
Location: RRU is located at Lavad-Dahegam (pin code 382305), near Gandhinagar, capital of Gujarat – 40 kms from Ahmedabad International Airport and 43 km from Ahmedabad Railway Station.
Transportation Facility: If you wish to avail University transportation, please let us know. Subject to availability, it may be provided on chargeable basis. Besides, pre-paid taxi counters at air port / railway station, Uber through mobile application provides facilities.
Accommodation: Arrangements are normally made at the Officers Guest House in the Campus and also availability of good hotels in the nearby vicinity. Should you wish to stay outside, please inform the Course Director.
Training Participation: Please confirm your nomination acceptance by clicking RRU training webpage or nodal officer of the training program. Late confirmations from the nominating institutions / agencies are possible.
Reporting for course: It is firmly expected that participants arrive at the RRU training hall well in time. Please ensure to arrive preceding evening to avoid last minute transportation inconvenience.
Registration: Unless otherwise specified, all courses begin at 1000 hours with 0930-1000 hrs reserved for registration. Pls download Registration Form from our website and submit the same by filling, scanning and sending it through email.
Dress Code/ Uniform: Service uniform for participants from services mandatory on the first and final day of the program with formal attire during the remaining days. Course Photo Session is held on first day after inauguration so appropriate formal dress, including ethnic / national dress / traditional are welcome. Casual wear/ sleepers are not permitted during training.
Food/ Mess Facility: Breakfast, meals, snacks, tea/coffee/beverages are arranged at the training hall or in the University canteen. Any special dietary requirement shall be intimated prior to arrival. No services are made available in the Officers Guest House. In exceptional cases, chargeable services may be provided.
Weather/ Climatic Conditions: Campus is surrounded by greenery and farms. January to March 120-360; April to June 240 C – 420 ; July to September 250-340; October to December 130-290 (all degree celsius).
Daily Schedule: Normally from 1000 to 1500 hours, subject to change for specific training programs.
Attendance: 100 % attendance is required, any relaxation or exemption granted on a case-to-case basis for valid reasons, with the approval of the Course Director in consultation with the nominating / sponsoring agency / institution.
Course Administrative Coordinator: Course Administrative is first contact point for all administrative, transportation, payment, registration details and information. Course Faculty Coordinator is responsible for all substantive aspects of the course.
Library Facilities: Participants can avail library facilities. Library timings are from xxxx to xxxx.
Internet Facilities: Wi-fi facilities available across the campus (including academic blocks, Officer Guest House, etc.). University has computer laboratory as well. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop for any course related assignments or for study/ work purpose.
No-Dues Certificate: In case of long-duration training programmes (more than two weeks), please ensure to collect your No-Dues certificate from the Course Administrative Coordinator.
Alumni Card: Please fill RRU Alumni Membership form and give to Administrative Coordinator. RRU will send you Trainee Alumni Card in the due course of time.
Medical Facilities: Primary Medical Centre with 24×7 hours services by nurses and fixed-schedule for MBBS doctor are available in the campus. Please inform the Administrative Coordinator, if you have any medical history or requirement in advance. World Class medical facilities are available in Gandhinagar / Ahmedabad.
Banking Facility: Besides availability of services by HDFC / Corporation Bank, full range banking services available in Dahegam (8 kms away from the campus)
