Rashtriya Raksha University is serving the nation as an Institution of National Importance with the vision of imparting security education, as an academic-research-training ecosystem for national security and police education in the country. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during the first convocation of the Rashtriya Raksha University on 12th March 2022 referred RRU as the “Jewel of the Nation that is helping us strengthen the vision of Sashakt Bharat”. Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Co-operation, Shri Amit Shah while addressing the convocation ceremony at RRU envisioned the University to have campuses in each region and states and accordingly to expand its reach and benefits throughout the Country from this premier institution in the areas of security whereby the security forces, law enforcement agencies and youths aspirants of respective regions and states may advance in the areas of security as mandated under sec 4(4) of the RRU Act 2020.

The courses are developed in a specific manner that inculcates highly proficient skills and education inside the police aspirants, sports enthusiasts and different stakeholders who can build their career in the areas of Policing and Internal Security, Industrial and Private Security, Sports, Physical Education and Fitness industries to name a few. The Rashtriya Raksha University aspires to transform youth into the highest cadre of civilians by including aspects of problem-solving approach and its application to make a peaceful and harmonic society.

Rashtriya Raksha University has set up a Campus at Shivamogga, Karnataka. The campus will emphasize on the development of a rigorous curriculum and inculcating skills and high standards of patriotism, discipline, ethics and moral values in the youth of the states.

The training shall be provided by dedicated and competent serving and retired internal security and police personnel with a strong emphasis on physical and mental fitness among others – fire, safety, and disaster as appropriate. The training will be imparted with a clear vision of their absorption in the police and security forces in Karnataka and the wider region.
