About School
The School of NCC & Police Martial Music Band (SNPMMB) at Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar, is a pioneering institution dedicated to the advancement of martial and ceremonial music education in India. The school focuses on nurturing professional band musicians for Police Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Armed Forces, and NCC, while preserving the rich heritage of martial music traditions.
The NCC at RRU fosters leadership, discipline, and character-building through drills, camps, social service activities, and leadership exercises designed to build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of duty.
In alignment with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of indigenization and cultural revival, SNPMMB was inaugurated at RRU in 2025. The School integrates Indian elements with modern educational approaches, grooming the next generation of martial musicians from police, paramilitary, NCC, and civilian backgrounds—elevating ceremonial music standards and contributing to India’s cultural and patriotic ethos.
Through specialized training in brass, woodwind, percussion, bagpipe, and bugle instruments, SNPMMB integrates musical excellence with discipline, leadership, and ceremonial band protocols. The school strives to develop highly skilled musicians capable of representing the nation with pride in official ceremonies, parades, and international platforms.
