Research Dialogue
The one quality which makes humans different from other organisms is their ability to think and inquisitiveness to know about the unknown. They have realized in the beginning of civilization itself that supposing is good but finding out is better. Research has in the recent past gained great impetus from the government and other sectors of the society, as it is considered the driving force behind public policy making. The National Education Policy 2020 aims at creating a culture of research, with the objective of generating and sharing functional ideas. The School of Security, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (SSLECJ) at Rashtriya Raksha University resonates the above idea and aspires to prioritize quality research and to boost research culture.
The Research Scholars Summit (RSS) is the forum functioning for the welfare of researchers and its main focus is on organizing workshop, seminar and guest lecture regularly with experts from academic and research institutions. The objective of the Research Scholar Summit is to move towards learning with critical thinking. It also intend to focus on innovation and attract developments in the volatile and expanding field of law, humanities and social sciences. The various research activities under this unique forum shall be organized simultaneously with teaching and academic programs of the school throughout the year, with an aim to provide research aid to researcher, academics and legal fraternity.
MembershipThe Research Scholar Summit (RSS) offers individual memberships to Ph.D., M.Phil. and Post-Doctoral scholars all over India as well as abroad. For a nominal membership fees, all RSS members get the following benefits:

The School of Security, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, Rashtriya Raksha University announces the launching of Research Blog to facilitate legal discourse by publication of diverse perspectives on a range of issues concerning topics of contemporary legal significance and interest, in the form of short, well-informed articles.
We invite original and unpublished submissions from law professionals, researchers, academics and students on emerging and contemporary subject matter related to law including Internal Security, Cyber Laws, Criminal Justice Administration, Human Rights, Constitutional Law, Women and Children Rights.
Submission GuidelinesSubmissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year.

Authors are expected to adhere to the following submission guidelines:
- The manuscript should contain content that is both original and unpublished.
- The manuscript must be in Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5
- The manuscript should be within 500-1000 words
- The manuscript should be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
- We evaluate submissions on three criterion: relevancy of the topic, content and language employed.
- Upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication, the copyright over the manuscript is vested with the School and the same should not be published on any other platform.
- The acceptance of manuscript is subject to the discretion of the SSLECJ policy. Upon publication of the manuscript, E-Certificate shall be given to the contributor.

- School of Security, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (SSLECJ) organize faculty seminar twice a month where faculty members are assigned topics covering the current legal issues and landmark judgments. The main idea behind this is to apprise the students, teaching/non teaching staff of university about the legal happenings and to generate inquisitive mindset. The Q&A session at the end further explores into the various facets of the given topic so that no point related to the main issue remain untouched.

- One Week Capacity Building Programme for Law Officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation was organized by SSLECJ from 21st to 25th March 2022.
- The Second Edition of the One Week Capacity Building Programme for Law Officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation was organized by SSLECJ from 2nd to 7th May 2022.

Academic Programme
Duration: Minimum Three Years
Introduction of the Programme: School of Security, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, Centre for Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS) offers one year LLM in Criminal & Security Laws which is uniquely crafted course for the students interested in building their career in various functions and functionaries of Criminal Justice System.
Duration of program : 2 Semesters
In the first semester, there are 5 papers and in the second semester there are 4 papers and 1 dessertation

What is the eligibility criterion for the various programmes run by the school?
- One Year LL.M. in Criminal & Security Law LL.B degree/ Equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General Category and 45% of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/SC/PWD categories.
- One Year PG Diploma in Policing & Investigation Graduate in any Discipline
- B.A. in International Legal and Security Studies 10+2 in any stream

Will the pandemic, COVID-19 affect the admission process?

What is the fee for admission application form?
Yes, there is an admission form fees on the following basis:
- LL.M. in Criminal & Security Law: INR 500/-
- B.A. in International Legal and Security Studies : INR 1000/-
- PG Diploma Policing & Investigation: INR 1000/-
- Ph.D. in Law : INR 1500/-

What will be the process of selection for admission under any course?
The applicants are required to fill application form for any course they are interested in.
- Admission in the LL.M. in Criminal & Security Law course shall be based on the P.G. Common law Admission Test (CLAT) score.
- Admission in the PG Diploma Courses shall be on the basis of merit.
- Admission in the B.A. in International Legal and Security Studies shall be on the basis on merit.
- Admission in the Ph.D. program shall be based on an All India Entrance Exam

What is the Fee Structure of various programmes at SSLECJ?
- One Year LL.M. in Criminal and Security Laws: INR 72500* per annum
- One Year Post Graduate Diploma in Policing and Investigation (Online/Offline Mode): INR 35000* per annum

Is accommodation facility available on campus?
Yes, there is a well facilitated hostel for both boys and girls at RRU Campus with ultra-modern facilities like well furnished rooms, hygienically cooked food, clean drinking water, 24×7 On-Campus safety as few of the key highlights of the RRU Residential Campus life.

What language proficiency is required to enroll in LL.M Programme?
The mode of instruction of language for the courses at SSLECJ is English.Though, language shouldn’t be a bar in effective learning for the students of SSLECJ.

Are there any library facilities available?
Yes, RRU’s Library is one of the most visited places by the students of the University. The library currently stocks quality books ranging from various multi-disciplinary areas of research interest inclusive of various Law Books of eminent authors.

Are there any transportation facilities for students?
Yes, University provides transportation facilities at regular intervals to and from Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Dahegam, Chiloda Crossing and also facilities for Railway from Ahmedabad and Dahegam.

Does SSLECJ have any Online Databases for Research and Academic activities?
Yes, the School offers to its students the amenities of accessing various databases through an Open Access Library.

Are there any distance learning/online mode programs available?
No, currently there is no part-time distance learning programme being offered by SSLECJ. Though, until the COVID-19 situation gets better for the students to physically attend the lectures, classes shall be conducted through online mode only. However, both Diploma programmes may be offered through online mode as well.

What are the opportunities for Research at SSLECJ?
Candidates interested in pursuing Research at SSLECJ can enrol themselves for Ph.D. degree courses. Full Time Ph.D. candidates who do not have any source of Funding/Scholarship/Salary/Remuneration etc. are also eligible for Doctoral fellowship as per RRU Ph.D. regulations. What are the other opportunities available for the students beyond classroom learning?
The students at Rashtriya Raksha University are blended with curricular, cocurricular and extra-curricular activities. Various cultural activities, Inter and Intra University competitions and fests are a regular part of the lives of the students at RRU.

Is there any provision for tuition fee waiver?
Yes. Two eligible students shall be awarded tuition fee waiver as per SSLECJ policy.

Is there any provision for scholarship and financial assistance to students?
Yes. There are various modes of financial assistance available to students such as:
- Program fee reimbursement for 10% enrolled students based on needcum-merit against rendering research, administrative assistance.
- Monthly stipend of INR 10000/- for one year to 10% enrolled students upon completion of education based on rigorous selection criteria.
- Several research and other administrative assistance scholarship may be made available throughout the year.
- Limited financial assistance for presentation of research papers in international and national conferences, seminars etc.
- Start-up, Incubation support available throughout the year
- The school shall offer Student Research Development Fund for promoting research culture.
