School of Private, Industrial and Corporate Security Management

The School of Private, Industrial, and Corporate Security Management (SPICSM) provides a wide array of academic, research, training, and outreach programs which are designed to equip students with practical skills and relevant knowledge aligned with industry requirements. The school mainly focuses on the private and corporate security industry thus offering abundant employment prospects in the country. SPICSM is dedicated to narrowing the disparity between the present state of affairs and the future security needs of industries thus engaging young aspiring individuals, working professionals and retiring security officers in enhancing their skills and providing opportunities for their continuous learning.

The school offers a variety of customized short-term courses covering different facets of corporate security to cater to the industry’s specific requirements. The school hosts the Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies (CCPSS), housing a specialized K-9 dog squad and takes pride in its achievement of training over 2500+ individuals in various fields, including corporate and private security, command centre operations and pool of skilled dog handlers.

The school actively engages in community outreach initiatives, extending its efforts beyond its campus. It executes projects such as the Amrit Kaushal Vikas Yojana-Suraksharth (AKLVYS) and provides firefighting courses for women and tribal youth, contributing to the empowerment of marginalized segments of society.

Centre for Earth and Space Science Informatics

The Centre for Earth and Space Science Informatics will focus on transdisciplinary technology and developments in terrestrial and space systems, including atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, geosphere, and outer space. At the outset, it will facilitate academic, research, and training programmes on geospatial technology. It strives to develop technology and offer technological solutions to the real-world spatial challenges of citizens and security organizations. It will also focus on emerging and future technologies essential for nation-building.

Centre for High Performance Computing & Quantum Technology

Advanced computing technologies are leading the world in innovation and research. This Centre aims to create an ecosystem for research and innovation in High Performance Computing and Quantum Computing with a focus on application in national security and allied domains. It will facilitate various academic, training, extension and research programmes in the domains of quantum technologies, high performance computing, learning systems and advanced computing. SPICSM, with strategic partnerships with domain experts like the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), will enable students and researchers to innovate and carry out research with a focus on national security leading towards a technically advanced and secure nation.

Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation

Innovation is at the heart of the School of Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology. To facilitate the innovation process and to provide academic support to innovators, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation will provide the rostrum for individual development and research ecosystem for the development of their innovations. Innovation spreads across multiple disciplines and domains; therefore, an interdisciplinary approach is needed. The Centre, through its various programmes, will support the innovators in the domains ancillary to their innovation, which will not only help them with better understanding of the subject-matters of their innovation, but also will gain the skills and knowledge to sustain their innovations.

May 1 – June 30, 2024
  • The Completion of the Basic Course in Corporate Security Management – Batch 3 for 22 Junior Security Officers (JSOs) of the Vedanta Group was followed by a Convocation and Cultural Event organized by SPICSM on June 28, 2024.
  • A delegation from the Security Association of Gujarat (SAG) visited Rashtriya Raksha University on June 21st, 2024, for an interactive discussion focused on strengthening the private security infrastructure of Bharat and a campus tour organized by SPICSM.
  • SPICSM successfully organized a 5 Days Specialised Course on ‘Corporate Vigilance’ for distinguished officers from Tata Steel and Vedanta Group from June 17th to June 21st, 2024.
  • SPICSM organized the Opening Ceremony of the First Batch of the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) sponsored Certificate Course on Corporate Security Management for Junior Commissioned Officers and Other Ranks (JCOs/ORs) on June 5th, 2024.
  • The Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies (CCPSS), under the aegis of SPICSM, successfully organized a ‘Two-Days K9 Basic Obedience and Basic Protection Course’ on May 25th and May 26th, 2024.
MARCH 1 – APRIL 30, 2024
  • SPICSM in collaboration with the Gandhinagar Fire Station proudly conducted a Fire Mock Drill as part of our dedication to the Fire Service Week Campaign, particularly for the Staff and Students of RRU on April 23, 2024. The primary objective of this drill was to promote Fire Safety Awareness among everyone at RRU.
  • SPICSM proudly hosted the inauguration ceremony of Basic Course in Corporate Security Management – Batch 3, comprising 22 Trainee Junior Security Officers freshly recruited from the Vedanta Group on April 2nd, 2024.
  • SPICSM successfully conducted the 3 Days Certificate Course on Emergency Response & First Aid Training for the MT Staff & Security Staff of RRU from March 14th to March 16th, 2024.
JANUARY 1 – FEBRUARY 29, 2024
  • SPICSM has organized an insightful interactive session & campus visit for the delegates of Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) on February 29, 2024.
  • SPICSM in collaboration with Tata Power has successfully completed a Two-Day Onsite Workshop focusing on Security Risk Assessment, Security Plan & Implementation Strategies held from February 5th to February 6th, 2024 in Mumbai.
November 1 – December 31, 2023
  • SPICSM provided Hands-on experience to RRU students through practical exposure at Cricket Stadium, Ahmedabad, where they executed security duties during the ICC World Cup 2023 matches on November 04 & 19 Nov 2023.
  • SPICSM School recently organized a Fire Mock Drill 07 Nov at RRU, engaging students to educate RRU staff on essential fire safety measures. The drill emphasized key actions, including staying calm, efficient communication, assembly point gathering, and addressing fires within manageable limits or promptly contacting the Fire Brigade for larger incidents.
  • SPICSM conducted Fire Demonstration for RRU Staff and Students in collaboration with the Dehgam Fire Station on 13 December 2023. The event aimed to enhance fire safety awareness and preparedness among participants, providing valuable insights and hands-on training in firefighting techniques. This joint initiative has been carried out for fostering a safe and informed community.
SEPTEMBER 1 – October 31, 2023
  • Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies (CCPSS) under the aegis of SPICSM in association with MitKat Advisory conducted three days online Masterclass on Security Command Centre Operations from 16th to 18th October 2023.
  • An MOU was signed between the SPICSM of RRU and Ranchi Security (P) Ltd (RSPL) on October 12, 2023 to empower Underprivileged Youth and Women in LWE region through Skill Development Certification Programs.
  • An MOU was signed between the SPICSM of RRU and CISS Academy on September 12, 2023 to renew and update the existing MOU that was previously signed between SISPA of Raksha Shakti University and CISS Academy for the purpose of Skill Human Development.
July 1 – August 30, 2023
  • 2100+ CISS security personnel were certified by Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies – CCPSS of SPICSM RRU.
  • Completion of Basic Course in Corporate Security Management of 28 Trainee Junior Security Officer of Vedanta Group from May 22, 2023. Their convocation was organized on August 29, 2023.
  • Commencement of 3 Days Online Masterclass on Security Operations Centre (Command Centre) for 63 participants from July 27 to July 29, 2023 by SPICSM.
  • Started the classes of Fire & Safety Management under CBCS Skill Enhancement Paper.
  • 163 CISS Security Personnel were certified by Center for Corporate and Private Security Studies – CCPSS of SPICSM – RRU.
  • 135 CISS Security personnel were certified by Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies – CCPSS of SPICSM RRU.

  • SPICSM has successfully commenced 5 Days Online Certificate Course on Corporate and Industrial Security Management from June 19 to June 23, 2023.
  • Certificate Program on First Aid Training by Indian Red Cross Society to Trainees of Basic Course in Corporate Security Management – 2nd Batch from June 22 to June 24, 2023.
  • 67 CISS Security Personnel were certified by Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies – CCPSS of SPICSM – RRU.
  • The school has completed “6 Days capacity building program on Corporate Security Management for Senior Management Executive for Private Security” on May 22, 2023.
  • SPICSM has successfully completed second batch of 3 Months Basic Course in Corporate Security.
March 1 – April 30, 2023
  • SPICSM successfully completed 6 Months Firefighter Certificate Course for Women on April 18, 2023. 45 girls from Gujarat, U.P, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh have been awarded the certificates by Vice – Chancellor of RRU and IFSDMS President.
  • The school has also completed One month Course on Pool of Dog Handlers – Enforcement & Investigation Skills of Dog on April 20, 2023. 11 RRU students from various schools, 2 Local youths have been awarded the Certificates by the SPICSM Director I/c & CCPSS Center Head.
  • SPICSM completed 2 Days Online Masterclass on Security Operation Center (Command Center) on March 27-March 28, 2023. 22 Participants comprising of students and corporate security professional have completed the 2 days online course.
  • SPICSM – RRU K9 Dog Squad started 1 Month Hands on Training Course “Pool of Dog Handlers” Enforcement and Investigation Skills of Dog from March 20, 2023.
