Bharat CISO is a unique, high value programme for CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, heads of digital transformation, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, ICT, IT crisis management, security and IT Risk Management, and other experts from the central government, state governments, PSUs, banking, financial services & insurance sector, healthcare sector, power & energy sector, telecom sector, transport sector etc. Inline with the Honorable Prime Minister’s vision for a Digital India, Rashtriya Raksha University and IIT-Madras Pravartak are jointly launching, an eleven month programme that aims to focus on Governance, Defensive and Offensive Security Training which will help the participants to gain essential in-depth knowledge of cyber security, exchange of best practices, frameworks, attacks and processes, amongst others, which will strengthen the resilience of their organisation’s IT infrastructure and processes.Being modular in design, the course has three ascending modules, depending on the need of the organisation/ individual. The third module is sector specific, and the participants will focus on their respective organisational requirements.

The Department of Science and Technology, under its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems has funded IIT Madras to host the Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) for Sensor, Networking, Actuators and Control Systems (SNACS) area. Note: Sufficient breaks will be provided in order to avoid eye strain. Participants are required to attend 80% of the training for being eligible to attend the examination.For each level of certification participants may be invited at Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat campus for a contact session up to 5 days. The lodging and boarding for this will be provided by RRU at no extra cost.

FEES:

Participants are required to pay fees as per the following installments:
1st Installment at the time of registration: INR 2.0 Lakh + GST only.
2nd Installment of INR 1.5 Lakh + GST only. before starting the Gold level.
3rd Installment of INR 1.5 Lakh + GST only, before starting the Platinum level.
Participants can opt for less than 3 modules also. However, prerequisite for a higher module is completion of the lower module.

Participants can exit after completion of any level. Participants will need to have a minimum of 80% attendance in a module to be able to attempt the qualification examination for that module.

Validity of Certificate: The certificate issued to the participants are valid for 3 years from the date of issue. On completion of the 3 years the participants are required to under go refresher course and clear the examination. The details of this will be shared during the platinum level course.

  • This course in Computer Science & Engineering with specialization “Cyber Security” will help in fulfilling the particular objective of this University to create trained, effective and efficient manpower which can help in the various sectors of Internal Security in India.
  • Information Technology and Cyber security are emerging areas in the field of Computer Science & Engineering. Information Technology is the application of computers to store, study, retrieve, transmit, and manipulate data, or information, often in the context of a business or other enterprise which are under threat of technology crimes with advancement of new technology and use of technologies in daily life.
  • Cyber security offers a solution which comprises processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. In a computing context, security includes both cyber security and physical security.
  • This program will offer many areas for specialization including securing network and allied infrastructure, securing applications, penetration testing, forensic investigation, digital forensics science etc.
  • M.Tech. Cyber Security is a 2 year full-time degree course that prepares students for leadership roles in the private sector, as well as government and military organizations, by providing technical expertise and contextual information.
  • The curriculum includes Reverse Engineering, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Cyber Forensics, Malware Analysis, the ethical, legal, and economic framework of cybersecurity. In addition, Students can also choose from a range of electives, including Wireless Security, Multimedia Security, and Information assurance.

Graduates of the program will be able to:

  • Understand the vulnerabilities found in the network or in software, as well as how to prevent and protect against them;
  • Recognize the most critical cybersecurity challenges;
  • Define the method and policy that an enterprise would require to reduce cyber threats to a manageable level.
  • M.Sc. in Digital Forensics is a 2-year full-time master’s degree course that prepares students for multiple roles in the private sector, as well as government and military organizations, by teaching processes and methods that are proven and tested in the field.
  • Students are introduced to the advanced tools and techniques which are put into use to track Cyber Crime, find digital Forensic evidence and learn about advanced processes and, methods involved. This course exposes students to not only technical aspects but legal aspects related to I.T. which is essential for digital investigators working on real-time cases.
  • After studying this course, the students will have a wide range of opportunities in the vast arena of the cyber world both nationally as well as internationally. There are employment prospects in the areas of network security, digital forensics, cybersecurity, computer system security, Security Auditor and much more both in governmental organizations as well as in the private sector.

General Computer Programming Lab (GCPL):

This lab helps to understand the basic terminology used in computer programming by using different data types in a computer program. Students can also design programs involving decision structures, loops and functions. Students can perform various practicals of different programming language like C, C++,JAVA. HTML, Python, PHP ,etc.

Network Security Lab (NSL):

Network Security Lab is to conduct basic and applied research in the security of critical networks and network components. Students performing various practicals in the areas of network scanning ,network and systems reliability, robust protocol design, peer-to-peer systems; mobile and wireless systems, high-performance, scalable cluster-based systems; the measurement of deployed, wide-area systems, such as the Web and content distribution networks; pervasive computing; cloud computing; and virtual machine technology.

Cyber Forensics and Malware Analysis Lab (CFMAL):

Cyber Forensics and Malware Analysis Lab is dedicated for the Disk Forensics, Memory Forensics, Mobile Forensics, Network Forensics, Operating System Forensics, Browser Forensics, E-mail Forensics and Malware Analysis. Cyber Forensics science arises as a result of the evolution of technology and as such should continue progressing in order to cover the analysis of new use cases for the prosecution of cybercriminals.

Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration Testing Lab (VAPTL):

Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration Testing Lab is designed to learn the practical side of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing in a safe environment. An online lab environment is provided where beginners can make their first step into penetration testing. The online hacking labs contain real-world scenarios with systems and devices that can be found on most company networks. Here, students will find vulnerable Windows, Linux and Android hosts, webservers, mail servers, firewalls, web applications and many more systems, services and applications. Every system in the labs is uniquely configured to contribute to a specific learning experience that involves one or more attack vectors.

Wireless Communication and Technology Lab (WATL):

The laboratory is setup to provide theoretical understanding and hands-on experience in this rapidly growing discipline. Since its inception the WATL has been investigating a wide range of problems in the basic theory and practical design strategies for wireless communication systems and networks.The lab facility can be used to investigate the problems in the fields of Wireless Channel Modelling in Time, Frequency and Space, Communication over Dispersive Wireless Channels and Cognitive Wireless Networks.

Data Science and Machine Learning Lab (DSMLL):

The Data Science & Machine Learning laboratory is involved in projects related to Machine Learning, Vision & Learning, Structured Signal Processing, and Decision & Control.The research and practice problem includes (i) dealing with high dimensional data via feature selection and feature discretization; (ii) social computing, social media mining, group understanding, and interaction; (iii) integrating multiple data sources to overcome ambiguity and uncertainty, (iv) employing domain knowledge for effective mining and information integration, and (v) assisting human experts by developing effective methods of ensemble learning, semi-supervised learning, and active learning with hierarchical classification, subspace clustering, and metadata.

No, we only offer full time courses.

SITAICS is organizing seminar, workshop, expert talks, technical quiz and conference on regular interval during the semester/year. Students are also being motivated to participate in such technical event organized by other university or institutions.

40 seats (All India Quota seats) qualified as per 12th Pass in Science Stream with 50% of subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics for the JEE Mains qualified candidates or 12th Pass in Science Stream with 60% of subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
