ABOUT THE CENTRE

The RRU Centre for International Law is a centre under the School of National Security Studies & Law (SNSL), Rashtriya Raksha University.

RRU Centre for International Law with the motto to assess, analyze, and adapt emerging perspectives of international law aims to promote the subject with the objective of universalization of the language and concepts of international law for it to be representative of the principal legal systems of the world.

  • RCIL inspired by ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ focuses on emerging perspectives of International law with the aim to promote the universalization of the language and concepts of international law for it to be representative of the principal legal systems of the world.
  • Given the exclusive focus of RRU on matters of national security, the RCIL operates at the intersection of international law and security, such as coastal and Maritime Security. It also intends to contribute to the New Orientation for a Reformed Multilateral System.
  • RCIL emphasizes on understanding and interpreting international law in a rapidly evolving international security environment from India’s perspective developing Indian Approaches to International Law.
  • It aims to perform high-quality research and generate research output by engaging in the diversity of contemporary international peace and security issues.
