Priority to RRU Students

1. Weightage of Additional Marks in Gujarat Police Recruitment to Degree/Diploma/PG Diploma Holders of Rashtriya Raksha University

The Government of Gujarat has notified that for recruitment to the posts of Police Sub-Inspector (Unarmed) in the subordinate service of the State Police Service; Platoon Commander and Police Sub-Inspector (Armed) in the subordinate service of the Gujarat State Reserve Police Force; Intelligence Officer in the subordinate service of the Gujarat State Intelligence Bureau; and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Unarmed) in the subordinate service of the Police Department – weightage of additional marks as mentioned below shall be given to the candidate possessing Degree or Post Graduate Diploma awarded by the Rashtriya Raksha University.

Further, the Government of Gujarat has notified that for recruitment to the Posts of Police Constable (Armed), Police Constable (Unarmed) Class-III, in the Subordinate Service of the Police Force, Police Constable (Armed) in the Subordinate Service of the State Police Force, Class III, in the Subordinate Service of the Police Force, Police Constable (Armed) in the Subordinate Service of the State Reserve Police Force, Sepoy (Male) and Sepoy (Female)/Metron, Class III in the Subordinate Service of the Office of Additional Director General of Police, Prison and Correctional Administration, – weightage of additional marks as mentioned below shall be given to the candidate possessing Degree or Diploma awarded by the Rashtriya Raksha University.

According to Appendix IV of Constable Recruitment Rules (rules of 8 (6) and 17 (1)) and PSI/ASI Constable Recruitment Rules (rules of 8 (6) and 17 (1)) of Gujarat Police additional marks as mentioned below shall be given to the candidate possessing any Diploma/ Post- Graduation Diploma/ Post Graduation Degree of 1 year and above duration certificate awarded by Rashtriya Raksha University are follows:

2. Additional Marks in Jharkhand Police Recruitment 

The Jharkhand Police recruitment notification specifically mentions that candidates who have obtained a Diploma/Degree from Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) are eligible for additional weightage of marks in the selection process.
