About Ms. Poonam Patel

Ms. Poonam holds a Postgraduate degree in Forensic Science from Rashtriya Raksha University (formerly Raksha Shakti University) and is currently serving as a Research Officer within the International Cooperation and Relations Branch (ICRB). Ms. Poonam previously worked as a Research cum Administrative Assistant, subsequently being promoted to Research Associate in 2022. She completed her master’s dissertation on “Non-destructive Examination of Panthera leo and Panthera tigris Trophies for Species Identification and Detection of Counterfeit Trophies” under the guidance of Dr. Sumit Kumar Choudhary and Dr. Kalpesh Solanki. She earned her undergraduate degree in Zoology from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha. In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Ms. Poonam is a dedicated artist with a passion for drawing and painting.
