About

Nasima Khatoon is currently working as an Assistant Professor (R) at the School of Internal Security, Defence and Strategic Studies (SISDSS). Previously, she has worked as a research fellow at the Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS), Western Air Command, New Delhi and at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), IISc. campus, Bengaluru. Her areas of research interest are India’s foreign policy, nuclear strategy and security and borderland studies of northeast India. Her work focuses on nuclear missile development trends, with a special interest in Southern Asia. She holds a Master’s in Defence and Strategic Studies from the Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly the University of Pune), India. She has publications in different Peer Reviewed Journals of National and International repute. She has co-edited a book and written book chapters, journal papers and analytical articles for the Springer Nature, Routledge, The Air Power Journal, Defence and Diplomacy Journal, The Hindu, The Diplomat, Indian Defence Review (IDR), DailyO, Mainstream Weekly and Rising Kashmir among others. She has qualified the National Eligibility Test conducted by the University Grants Commission in Defence and Strategic Studies.
