About

Ms. V. Jayshree is an Assistant Professor of Law at Rashtriya Raksha University, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Cross-Border Insolvency at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. She holds an M.Phil. with a specialization in Corporate Laws, an LL.M. in Corporate Laws from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh and a B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree with specialization in Corporate Laws from MATS University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Ms. Jayshree's unwavering commitment to academics is demonstrated by her continuous, gapless pursuit of higher education, reflecting her dedication to continuous professional growth. In addition to her academic achievements, she has enriched her practical legal understanding through multiple prestigious governmental internships, including at Tihar Prison (Delhi), the Competition Commission of India (Delhi), the State Human Rights Commission (Chhattisgarh), and both State and District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions (Chhattisgarh). These experiences have provided her with valuable exposure to the functioning of key legal and regulatory institutions in India. Her current research interest lies in cross-border insolvency law, where she continues to make significant academic contributions. She recently authored the article titled 'Public Policy Exception and Cross-Border Insolvency,' published in the NLUJ Law Review (Vol. X, Issue II, Summer 2024), a UGC CARE-listed journal. Additionally, her article 'India, Cross-Border Insolvency, and Legal Reform' was featured in the editorial column of The Hindu newspaper in January 2025. Her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing scholarly and policy debates in the field of international insolvency law.
