About

Mr. Geetesh Kumar Singh is Associate Director and Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) with over five years of experience in clinical practice, research, supervision, and education. He trained and worked at premier institutions, including the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), and Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH). At the RRU, Mr. Singh led the MPhil in Clinical Psychology (M. Clin. Psy) program and has played a pivotal role in establishing the Psychosocial Care Center (PCC) at the Hospital for Mental Health, Ahmedabad. He contributed to curriculum development and launched landmark programs—Bachelor in Psychology (B. Psy) and Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology (B. Clin. Psy) WIP—regulated by National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) and Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), expanding educational opportunities for aspiring mental health professionals. He is also the Coordinator for Mental Health Services, M. Clin. Psy & B. Clin. Psy programs and members of the Ethics, Disability and Disciplinary Committee. Beyond academia, he provided mental health services to law enforcement agencies, university staff, students, and the community to prevent and promote mental health and well-being. Committed to bridging research and practice, Mr. Singh developed mental health literacy modules and organized over 15 awareness and training programs aimed at the prevention and promotion of mental health and well-being among police personnel, professionals, and the public. Mr. Singh’s research focuses on police and public mental health; digital behaviour and artificial intelligence; Internet addiction; and social media, emphasizing the significance of emotional, psychological, and social well-being in addressing contemporary mental health challenges. As fellows of the American Psychological Association (APA), Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (IACP), Clinical Psychology Society of India (CPSI), and Cochrane Collaboration, he integrates global insights with localized interventions to advance mental health education and services.
