Mrs. Apala Pathak is currently working as a Teaching Cum Research Officer at the School Of Internal Security and SMART Policing. Mrs. Pathak is an accomplished academic and researcher with dual postgraduate qualifications in Police Administration (Raksha Shakti University, 2018) and Archaeology (University of Calcutta, 2008). She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Calcutta. Her academic journey reflects a strong interdisciplinary foundation bridging history, archaeology, and internal security studies. She has gained diverse professional experience through projects and internships with reputed institutions, including the National Project on Preservation and Documentation of Monuments, Manuscripts, and Antiquities, the Commissionerate of Police (Howrah), the Gujarat State Human Rights Commission, the Bureau of Police Research and Development (Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi), and the Center for Human Security Studies (CHSS), Hyderabad. Her work has involved surveying, documentation, research, and policy-related analysis in the fields of heritage preservation, human rights, and security studies. Beyond academics and professional engagements, Mrs. Pathak has actively participated in extracurricular activities, representing at the state-level swimming competition and the inter-university Taekwondo Petrocup. She is multilingual, fluent in Bengali, Hindi, and English, and possesses computer proficiency in MS Office and Windows systems. Her personal interests include reading, listening to music, traveling, drawing, and cooking, reflecting a well-rounded personality with both intellectual and creative pursuits.
