Dr. Gaurav Singh Kushwah is a Senior Assistant Director (Physical Education and Sports) of the School of Physical Education and Sports; currently, Dr. Kushwah is handling the charge of Associate University Dean and Director Incharge of School of NCC and Police Martial Music Band (SNPMMB). Dr. Kushwah was former Director Incharge of School of Physical Education and Sports (SPES) and served as founding faculty and member of the school (SPES). He did his B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed., and Ph.D. in Physical Education from Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, M.P. Dr. Kushwah had played professional tennis for almost 10 years, in which he had won many state and national championships; he was also the M.P. State No. 1 player for 5 years as well as achieved good national ranking. He was also the Gold medallist in the M.P.Ed. Dr. Kushwah had published many research articles in international and national reputed journals as well as attended and presented many research papers in international and national conferences and seminars. He had been invited as a resource person in many workshops as well as delivered many lectures at different institutions. Dr. Kushwah had also received many honours from various stakeholders and also availed many scholarships such as UGC – NET with JRF, merit scholarships from the LNIPE, and sports achievement scholarships from the state government. He had also organized various national and international workshops and conferences in various capacities. His specialization and keen interest areas are tennis, badminton, physical education, exercise physiology, research, and statistics. Presently, four scholars are pursuing Ph.D. under his supervision as well as one scholar has been awarded the M.Phil. degree under his supervision. Dr. Kushwah has also completed the pre-commissioned training of NCC – Army from Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Dr. Kushwah is now an Associate NCC Officer in NCC – Army Wing of 1 Gujarat Arty Bty.
