Dr. Chandra graduated in Philosophy (Hon.) from the Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi. She is a Gold Medallist in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and has received the “Excellence in Teaching Award” in her LL.M. In her twelve years of diversified experience in Academics, Training, Legal Research and Monitoring and Evaluation Projects, she has worked with various national and international agencies like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee State Cell, Uttar Pradesh (MGNREGA) and Department for International Development, United Kingdom (DFID). She has authored papers on Women Empowerment, Human Rights and Women and Child Rights. Prior to joining Rashtriya Raksha University, she was the Head of Department, Law, at Unity Post Graduate College, Lucknow. Her academic interests lie in Business Laws, Intellectual Property Laws, Family Law and International Law.
