Prachi Kathane is currently working as an Assistant Professor [Forensic Science] in the School of Behavioural Sciences & Forensic Investigations, Rashtriya Raksha University, Lavad, Gujarat. She is pursuing her PhD in Forensic Science. She holds a Master’s degree (2019) in Forensic Science (with a specialization in Questioned Document and Fingerprints) and Bachelor’s degree (2017) in Forensic Science from Government Institute of Forensic Science, Nagpur. She is a Gold Medalist and the University First Rank Holder of Masters in Forensic Science. She has qualified CBSE-UGC-NET (Forensic Science) in July 2018. She has also qualified Forensic Psychology Aptitude and Caliber Testing (FPACT) Examination, conducted by LNJN National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, New Delhi, 2019. She possesses a certificate CSCU from EC-Council. In the recent past, she has served as a Junior Scientific Officer in the Cyber Division at Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science, India, New Delhi. Prachi is oriented towards research and wants to contribute to the field of Forensic Science. She has worked on various research projects while also served as an organizing committee member in Forensic Science Expo, Forensic Conferences, and Seminars. She has participated in various National and International conferences. She has presented 16 posters and 6 papers on varied topics and has won 6 ‘Best Poster Presentation’ Awards and 3 ‘Best Paper Presentation’ Awards. She has some publication on her credit in International & National Journals of repute.
