About

Dr. Namrata Kumari is currently working as a Training Cum Research Officer (TCRO) at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Lavad Campus, Gujarat. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil in Population Studies branch of Geography with her doctoral research focusing on health status and health-seeking behaviour of rural elderly women. She completed her M.A., B.A. and has qualified the UGC-NET examination in Geography. She prior to joining RRU, she has served as Assistant Professor at institutions such as Sharda University, Noida, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Army Cadet College (IMA), Dehradun, and Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, Lucknow, where she was actively involved in teaching, curriculum design, research supervision, and academic administration. She has also worked as a Field Research Consultant in one of the projects of TISS, Mumbai. She has held several academic and administrative responsibilities including Curriculum Designer and Course Instructor for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, Course Evaluation Coordinator, Mentor-Mentee Coordinator, and NAAC Accreditation Team Member. She has supervised Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate dissertations in diverse areas of human and physical geography and has contributed to field-based and experiential learning initiatives. Her research work has been published in UGC-Care and peer-reviewed journals, and she has actively participated in national and international conferences. In her present role as TCRO at RRU, she contributes to training coordination, institutional outreach, and strengthening industry–academia linkages in alignment with the university’s mission of capacity building and national security education.
