Professor (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Rashtriya Raksha University, a Member of the UN International Law Commission (2023-2027), and a Member of the National Security Advisory Board of India. He has held prominent positions including Director of Gujarat National Law University (2008-2019) and Member of the 21st Law Commission of India (2015-2018). With extensive experience in international law, he has contributed to drafting various national laws and has authored numerous publications on dispute settlement, law of the sea, and state practice of India in international law.
