About

Dr. Mohammad Khalid is a teacher-researcher in French and Francophone Studies, specializing in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) pedagogy and technology-enhanced language learning. He has teaching experience in universities and language institutions in India, including Alliance Française de Lucknow, Amity University Rajasthan, IIIT Bhagalpur, and the University of Lucknow. He completed his Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, where his research focused on the pedagogical use of multimedia and captioned audiovisual materials for vocabulary acquisition in FLE. His work explores how captioned video and multimodal digital tools support language comprehension and vocabulary learning in multilingual contexts such as India. Dr. Khalid also holds an M.Phil. and Master’s degree in French from JNU. He has qualified the UGC-NET and was awarded the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) during his doctoral studies. He holds the DALF C1 diploma, is a certified DELF A2 examiner, and has received teacher training in French language pedagogy in India and abroad. Dr. Khalid has a publication in a peer-reviewed journal (Caraivéti Journal, Banaras Hindu University) and has presented his research at national and international conferences. His research interests include FLE didactics, digital pedagogy, audiovisual media, intercultural communication, and AI-mediated language learning.
