Dr. Shahanshah Gulpham is an academician by profession, in Criminology and Sociology discipline. He holds dual Master degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration & Master in Sociology and awarded Doctorate Degree in Sociology in 2014 on the topic 'Crime against Working Women: A study of Working Women of Lucknow City' from AMU, Aligarh. He has qualified UGC NET/JRF four times in Criminology, Sociology and Social Work. Previously, he has worked in various capacities in central government organizations including National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC), New Delhi under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, AMU, Aligarh, and IIPA, New Delhi. He also has experiences of working on various research projects funded IIPA, ICSSR and NHRC, etc. He has been avid in researches of Sociology, Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration since last decade and has numerous publications to his credit including in 'SCOPUS' indexed journals and has authored several books i.e. police administration, solution-oriented policing, modern crime and criminal network, and women empowerment. His research interest mostly focuses on new translation criminology; Clinical Criminology, Social Problems in contemporary India, Heuristic in Criminal Justice, Design Against Crime (DAC) and Green Criminology etc.
