About

Dr. Dimple T. Raval is an Associate Professor of Law at the School of Criminal Law and Military Law (SCLML), Chairperson, Internal Complaint Committee and Dean Consultancy at Rashtriya Raksha University. With over two decades of experience in teaching, academic leadership, research, and institutional building. With over two decades of experience in teaching, academic leadership, research, and institutional development, she is widely recognised as a founding faculty member of both SCLML and Rashtriya Raksha University. She has held several key leadership positions at RRU, including Director, SCLML, and Dean, Extension & Distance Learning. Dr. Raval has been instrumental in the conceptualisation and launch of flagship academic programmes, including Ph.D., M.Phil., LL.M., BBA LL.B., and MFEC, significantly contributing to the academic growth and national standing of the University. She has also served as Programme Director for the Capacity Building Programmes of CBI Law Officers, NIA Law Officers, GIPCA authority and the ITEC Programme under the Ministry of Home Affairs, marking a first-of-its-kind national and international initiative at RRU.With strong international academic engagement, Dr. Raval has served as a Visiting Professor at the Royal Docks School of Business and Law, University of East London (UK). She has delivered expert sessions at regional multi-stakeholder meetings on organized crime, gender mainstreaming, and human rights, including high level programmes organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC) in Maldives (2023) and Malaysia (2025). Through her extensive training engagements, she has imparted training to law enforcement officers from over 70 countries, contributing significantly to global capacity building in crime prevention, criminal justice, and human rights mainstreaming. She has delivered expert sessions for serving police officers, CBI law officers, NIA law officers, prosecutors, academicians, researchers, and law students, and regularly serves as a panelist and resource person at national and international forums. Her scholarly contributions include over 65 research articles and papers published in reputed national and international journals, along with 25+ books and book chapters. She has actively organized, chaired, convened, and participated in numerous national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops, and has addressed technical and academic sessions across diverse platforms. Dr. Raval is the founding member of the Pro Bono Clinic, Gender Sensitization Committee, and Internal Committees at RRU, reflecting her strong commitment to access to justice, gender equity, and institutional ethics. She currently serves as the Ph.D. (Law) Coordinator at SCLML and guides doctoral, postgraduate, and master’s level research scholars. She is also a referee for Ph.D. theses of various universities.
