About Ms. Himani Sharma
I am Himani Sharma, a RCI Clinical psychologist based out of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Currently I am working as a Clinical Psychologist at Rashtriya Raksha University, Lavad, Gujarat, as well as I’m a Ph. D. scholar at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, conducting research in the field. In past I have dealt with a varied population and have helped them in growing while conducting psychology workshops & taking guest lectures in different colleges, along with a regular full time position as an Assistant Professor at Department of Clinical Psychology, AIBAS, Amity University. I am a former Assistant Professor of Mody University, Lacchmanghar, where I got the opportunity to teach PG & Ug students studying psychology in different areas. I have been involved academically since my post graduation program from National Forensic Science University, I was a M.Sc. Forensic Psychology student and while doing it I was involved in different research work as well as I had exposure of varied legal internships. I got the chance to interact with criminals in different forms, which further increased my interest among the mental health of criminals.
Some day in the near future I want to introduce the word ‘Correctional Psychology’ in India in the formal education system, with special focus on developing emotional regulation among general population and Juvenile Delinquents. While pursuing my degrees, I have always been involved in multiple extra curricular activities, such as dancing, poetry, table tennis, air rifle shooting, in fact I contested and won as a student elected union leader during my graduation. I am an enthusiastic academician who is eager to learn new things and apply them in practise. I would like to believe I am quite flexible and adaptable when required.
