About Dr. Sourav Ghosh

Sourav Ghosh is presently working at Rashtriya Raksha University as a Sports Physiotherapist at the School of Physical Education and Sports. He earned his Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from one of India’s most distinguished Medical College, the National Institute For Locomotor Disabilities (NILD), Kolkata, where he gained experience working with patients of all age groups in an extremely busy outpatient department. After that, he completed his Master of Sports Physiotherapy from DAV Institute of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, Jalandhar (DAVIPTR) affiliated with one of the deemed Medical University of Punjab, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. He had also been associated with the ALL INDIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION (AIFF) as an official Physiotherapist for the Hero I–League session 2020-2021. And also for Mohammedan Sporting Club, I-League champion (2023-24).

His post-graduate experience includes rehabilitation for elite and non-elite players (Football, Cricket, Wrestling, Kabaddi, Handball, Basketball) and athletes (Runners, Long Jump, High Jump) for their respective pre and post-operative rehabilitation and to provide them with performance support through injury prevention, maintaining and recovering interventions.
