About Mr. Digvijay Rewatkar

As the coordinator for the RRU Centre for International Law, Digvijay manages the research, training and extension activities in the domain of Public International Law. His specialisation is on the intersection of national security and public international law. He has a keen interest in exploring law relevant to emerging tech and emerging domains of international law such as the deep sea mining.

Digvijay has previously served as research analyst for policy and humanitarian diplomacy at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) stationed in Geneva, Switzerland. He has worked extensively towards foreign affairs issues and on-field humanitarian issues with international organizations like UNHCR. His sense of patriotism brought him back to serve his country and thereby contribute towards national and internal security, safety and development. He holds a Bachelor’s in Law from Gujarat National Law University and a Masters in International Law from Leiden University, Netherlands. He’s been a scholarship holder during his time at GNLU which enabled him to attend a summer program in China and attend the prestigious International Law Commission in 2015 in Geneva.
