About Mr. Ankur Sharma
Mr. Ankur Sharma is an Director (I/c) and Assistant Professor (Law) at the School of Integrated Coastal and Maritime Security Studies, Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar, India. He has a master’s degree with specialization in Public International Law from South Asian University, New Delhi, an International University established by SAARC Member Nation Countries.
He had qualified the University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) twice, in the year 2016 and 2018 respectively. Since then he has been involved in academics. Presently, he is pursuing Ph.D. in the field of Law of International Organizations from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi, India.
Prior to joining RRU, Mr. Sharma was teaching at Symbiosis Law School, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. At Symbiosis, apart from his regular academic engagements he was instrumental in heading the Legal Aid Centre in coordination with District Legal Services Authority and was involved in community outreach and legal awareness programmes. He is a member of Global Alliance for Justice Education (GAJE).
He had been associated with Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai as a visiting faculty. Also, he had been engaged by various colleges and universities as external examiner and invited to judge international/national moot court events.
His areas of interest are Public International Law, Law of the Sea, Maritime Law, Law of International Organisations, International Trade and Economic Law and Human Rights Law.
