About Dr. Rohit Raj

Dr Rohit Raj is currently working as an Assistant Professor, Police Administration in the School of Internal Security and Police administration, Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He completed his graduation from the University of Delhi. Thereafter, he completed Master of Arts in Public Administration- with Distinction and a PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. He has passed UGC NET & Junior Research Fellowship in Public Administration and was promoted as Senior research fellow during his doctoral research.

He served as an Assistant Professor of Police Science at Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University, Ranchi till 25th June 2022 where he also performed his duty as a Course Co-ordinator of Police Science. He was a part of the University NAAC Committee, In-charge Sports and Culture Committee and Member, Disciplinary committee. He was also the Co-ordinator of the Residential-Certificate Course in Police Science Course for the Tana Bhagat Community (Oraon Tribal Community). After a successful tenure at JRSU, he joined as Assistant Professor in the School of Police Science and Security Studies at National Forensic Sciences University (An Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. After a brief tenure at NFSU, he joined Rashtriya Raksha University (An Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI ), where he is currently serving as Assistant Professor- Police Administration in the School of Internal Security and Police Administration.

He has four publications to his credit and has delivered lectures/ presentations at various National and International Conferences/ Seminars. He is a resource person/invited speaker for various Universities. He has taught papers related to Security Management, Insurgency and Counter-insurgency, Left-Wing Extremism, Community Policing, Law Enforcement strategies, Management, Public Administration, Contemporary Policing Approaches and Research Methodology.
