About Dr. NANDHA KUMARA PUJAM. S

Dr. Nandha Kumara Pujam, S., is presently working as an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Rashtriya Raksha University, Shivamogga campus, Karnataka. Dr. Nandha has a robust clinical educational background with a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology and an M.Phil. in Medical and Social Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from the Central Institute of Psychiatry (C.I.P.), Ranchi. Dr. Nandha is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (RCI Licensed, CRR No. A22180) with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health field and teaching the MPhil Clinical Psychology Program for more than 14 years. He joined as a Senior Research Fellow (Specific Learning Disability Project) at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 2013. Subsequently, he joined as an assistant professor of clinical psychology at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kancheepuram, in 2013. In 2016, he began working as an associate professor of clinical psychology at Amity University in Gwalior. In the year 2018, he joined as an associate professor and HOD, Department of Clinical Psychology, at SGT Medical College and Hospital, Haryana. In 2021, he joined Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat, and served as Director (I/c) and Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology. Subsequently, he was shifted to Puducherry as Campus Director (I/c) to establish the RRU Puducherry Campus. Dr. Nandha played a key role in establishing the RRU Puducherry campus. He also established the psychosocial care and counselling centre for prison staff and prisoners at Central Prison, Puducherry. He is skilled in psychotherapy, psychological assessments, psychosocial rehabilitation, rehabilitation of prison staff and prisoners, and clinical research. Furthermore, he has guided 20 MPhil clinical psychology dissertations and 1 PhD clinical psychology thesis. Currently, he is supervising one Ph.D. scholar at Rashtriya Raksha University. Dr. Nandha has 22 national and international research publications, along with UGC NET and JRF qualifications for a lectureship. Furthermore, he has won consecutively two best paper awards (2019 and 2020) at the National Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists.
