About Dr. Divyashree

Dr. Divyashree is currently working as an assistant professor in the School of Criminology & Behavioral Science (SCBS). She holds a PHD in Police Administration from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab. She has pursued her M.A. in Criminology with specialization in Police Administration and Investigation from LNJN National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi which is affiliated to Guru Gobhind Singh Indraprasta University, Delhi. She qualified the UGC NET/JRF in the subject of Criminology in December 2010. Dr. Divyashree, has experience in teaching the undergraduate and the Post graduate level and extension activities at the Rashtriya Raksha University, the first Police /internal security university of the country.

Dr. Divyashree has organised various activities for the students, the one being MALHAAR – which is the famous cultural event of the University. She is a trained classical dancer – Bharatnatyam and Mohiniattam and has great passion for Art and culture. Recipient of the Young Scientist award (2011) for the best research paper at the Indian Society of Criminology Conference organised by Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, Dr. Divyashree has great taste for Research in Criminology and Criminal Justice issues.

She has held various academic and administrative positions such as Program Coordinator of M.A. in Criminology course since 2015 onwards, Chairperson , Internal Complaints Committee since February, 2017 onwards, Head of Cultural Committee since 2015 onwards; Hostel In charge (Girls), Girls Hostel, RSU since July 15/2019 onwards; Member of Student Counseling Cell, Member, Training and Placement Cell, Member Examination Committee, RSU; Member of Board of Studies in Criminology, Secretary, Committee for Drafting BASM syllabus. Dr. Divyashree is also appointed as the Member of Gujarat Jail Manual Review Committee by the Home Department, Gujarat.
