Profile

Dr.Dattesh Parulekar is a Visiting Faculty with the School of International Cooperation, Security and Strategic Languages, Rashtriya Raksha University since September 2021. He is also Assistant Professor of International Relations and Area Studies, at the School of International and Area Studies (SIAS), Goa University. His realms of erudite specialisation span India’s Foreign Policy, Chinese Political Economy, Strategic Maritime Affairs w.r.t. the Indo-Pacific, Europe-Asia Relations and Latin American Affairs. A former Fulbright Research Fellow, Dr. Parulekar undertook a seminal section of his doctoral research under the academic tutelage of Prof. William Zartman, in a stint at the Conflict Management Centre, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University, Washington DC, USA. He is a Visiting Faculty at multiple national defence institutions, including Naval War College (NWC), INS Mandovi (Goa); College of Defence Management (CDM) and College of AirWarfare (CAW), Secunderabad Defense Services Staff College, Wellington; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimalai and Army War College, Mhow. Dr. Dattesh is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Middle East Institute (MEI), New Delhi; Faculty and Resource-Person, India Foundation and Forum for Integrated National Security (FINS), including Editorial Advisory Board Member, FINS Journal of Diplomacy and Strategy. He writes periodically, for the RIAC (Moscow), ISDP (Sweden), and China Daily (Hong Kong), besides publishing multiple peer reviewed articles, across national and international Journals.
