About Dr Anil Kumar

Dr Anil Kumar is an Assistant Officer at School of Internal Security, Defence and Strategic Studies (SISDSS). Before this, heworked as a Research Associate at Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF). He received his Ph.D. in International Relations from South Asian University (A University established by SAARC Nations), New Delhi, India. He did M.A. in Politics and International Relations from the Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar. He also qualified University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test in Politics including International Relations/International Studies, including Defence/Strategic Studies, West Asian Studies, South East Asian Studies, African Studies, South Asian Studies, Soviet Studies, and American Studies. His area of interest includes South Asia,specifically in Regional Security, Cooperation and Integration, Geopolitics, Foreign Policies, Cultures, Identities, and Interests of South Asian states.

  • Presented Paper titled The Ethnic and Sectarian Nationalist Constrains in South Asian Regional Cooperation in The International Multidisciplinary Symposium on The Contemporary Dynamics of South Asia organized by Shivaji University, Kolhapur and The Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow, Russia (RSUH) from 29th – 31stJanuary, 2022.
  • Presented Paper titled Ethnic Fissures and the Nationalistic Thrust in South Asian Cooperation in an international webinar Re-constructing the ‘Region’ In South Asia, organized by the Department of Political Science, Goa University and Department of International Relations, South Asian University from 12-13 August 2021. This paper has been accepted as a publishing chapter with a title Lives on the Edge: The Ethno-Nationalist Constraints in South Asian Cooperation (Forthcoming)
