About Centre of Cyber Defence Centre (CDC)

Rashtriya Raksha University is on a mission to ensure a safer online environment for our nation. In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, India’s increasing reliance on critical infrastructure—be it for water, electricity, gas, transportation, or banking—is more apparent than ever. The immediacy and depth of this connectivity, however, bring with them an escalated risk of cyber-attacks.

The interconnected nature of our infrastructure across various sectors and industries means that a cyber-attack could have far-reaching and devastating consequences. Recognizing this pressing need, the School of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security (SITAICS) has taken a bold step by establishing a dedicated centre to combat cyber threats related to IT/OT.

This significant initiative, known as the Cyber Defence Centre (CDC), is at the forefront of fortifying our cybersecurity efforts. By proactively recognising threats around-the-clock, CDC can enhance the cyber security performance during any cyber-attacks.

At the core of CDC’s mission is the primary objective to train and empower students, industry professionals, and security experts within a live/Emulated/Simulated IT/OT environment. Our aim is to create a dynamic training ground that nurtures a skilled cadre of cybersecurity professionals. These individuals will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our critical digital infrastructure, ensuring a secure and resilient digital future for our nation.

Vision

Through cutting-edge technologies and strategic initiatives, we aim to fortify the nation’s cybersecurity posture and ensure the resilience and security of interconnected critical sectors.
