About Centre for Disaster Risk Reduction (CDRR)
Centre for Disaster Risk Reduction (CDRR) has been established under School of Internal Security and SMART Policing (SISSP), Rashtriya Raksha University.
There has always been an overwhelming role of Security forces i.e., State Police Organisations, Central Armed Police Forces, Private Security Agencies undertaking a primary role in tackling disaster in one form or another. This centre aims to employ Prevention, Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery steps in overall reduction of risk incurred during any disaster.
While providing a platform to research various implications of disaster in overall National security of the nations this centre aims to provide research outputs that looks into the impact of disaster at various levels of security setup across the globe.
Looking into the challenges faced by climate change on various aspects of the security setup of our country and its overall impact on the extent of various disasters, this centre aims to provide contemporary solutions to overall reduction of risk during any disaster and subsequently train all the stakeholders under the realm of public safety.
