Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies
(CCPSS)
Vision
- To provide with the knowledge and skills pertaining to private security management and corporate security.
- To interact with the private security managers, Corporate institutions, business leaders, think tanks etc. for innovative research projects and advice.
- To implant a sense of respectability and dignity to the profession of private security in India.
- To become a center of excellence in teaching, research, training and providing new ideas in the areas of Private and Corporate Security.
Mission
- To coordinate the expertise of the Government, academia and private enterprise on issues pertaining to Private and corporate security management.
- To harmonize academic knowledge with practical experience of private and corporate security professionals.
- To promote academia-corporate partnership for cooperation in research and policy development.
- To engage with the leading national and international community to evolve policy guidelines by organizing informed seminars, conferences, workshops, training programmes, symposium, etc. on Private Security Management and Corporate Security Studies.
- To provide certification programmes to skill, reskill and upskill employed private security personnel and other job-seeking aspirants in the field of private and corporate security.
- To provide better job opportunities to the students/private security personnel attending these certification courses.
Proposed Program:
- 3 to 5 days TOT (Training of Trainers) for Security Professionals.
- Short Term Course on Industrial Security and Safety.
- Short Term Course on Corporate Security Strategies.
- Program on Role of private security during Industrial Unrest.
About Centre for Corporate and Private Security Studies (CCPSS)
The Centre of Corporate and Private Security Studies (CCPSS) is conceptualized by the School of Internal Security and Police Administration (SISPA) from the Academic Year 2020-21. The rationale for establishing the Centre is to work towards offering solutions to the multitude of challenges faced by the Private Security Industry and to provide the opportunity for the Reskilling and Upskilling of the private and corporate security personnel. The Centre will work towards motivating the youth to join the private security industry and excel in their career as private security personnel. The CCPSS will be engaged in Teaching, Training, Research, and Extension activities in the sphere of Private and Corporate Security Industry.Faculty
