About IQAC

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) contributes significantly for institutionalizing the quality assurance strategies and processes, by constantly reviewing the teaching-learning process, structures & methodologies of operations and learning outcomes, at periodic intervals

The Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) has also established its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to develop and implement continuous quality improvement plans not only to be in line with NAAC’s goals and vision but also to keep thriving on global level.

Since its establishment in 2022, the IQAC has undertaken initiatives to enhance the university’s research, teaching, learning, and governance standards. The IQAC contributes to RRU’s academic and administrative excellence through specialized tasks in database administration, quality policy, benchmarking, and feedback response.

At RRU , We have internal IQAC at each school/campus level also a Centralised IQAC which looks after overall academic as well as administrative quality enhancement practices. RRU-IQAC (Internal members) conducts regular meetings with schools and campuses for providing guidance’s while periodical meetings are conducted with external members of IQAC.

Reviewing the Teaching-Learning Process:

• Curriculum Development and Review: The IQAC collaborates with faculty members across all the schools of RRU to ensure the curriculum aligns with current trends in national security studies and best practices in pedagogy by reviewing course content, incorporating new learning resources, exploring innovative teaching methods and conducting Academic Audit regularly after completion of each semester.
• Faculty Development Programs: The IQAC recommends faculty development programs to enhance teaching skills and keep faculty updated on advancements in their respective fields. These programs focuses on effective teaching methodologies, use of technology in the classroom, and assessment techniques.
• Student Feedback Mechanisms: The IQAC has implemented mechanisms for collecting student feedback on teaching quality, course content, and learning outcomes. This feedback is obtained through surveys, feedback forms, or student course evaluations. The IQAC further analyses these feedbacks and suggests improvements to concerned schools for improvement.
• Monitoring Classroom Practices: The IQAC conducts periodic observations of classroom teaching to assess the effectiveness of teaching methodologies and student engagement along with that AOT (Academic observation teams) are appointed on daily basis for monitoring the classroom teaching.
• Administrative Efficiency Review: The IQAC also reviews the university’s administrative processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. This involves analysing admissions procedures, student support services, financial management practices, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
• Infrastructure and Resource Optimization: The IQAC also assess the adequacy and optimal utilization of the university’s infrastructure and resources like libraries, laboratories, IT facilities, and classrooms.
• Quality Assurance in Research: The IQAC plays an important role in promoting a culture of research within RRU by facilitating research collaborations, organizing workshops on research methodologies, and establishing mechanisms for peer review of faculty research.
• Communication and Collaboration: The IQAC strives to foster better communication and collaboration between different schools and administrative units within the university to improve overall efficiency and ensure all stakeholders are working towards shared goals.
• Alignment with Curriculum Objectives: The IQAC analyzes student performance data to assess how well learning outcomes align with the stated objectives of the curriculum by reviewing examination results, student projects, portfolios, and presentations.
• Skills Development and Employability: The IQAC tracks the career trajectories of graduates to understand how well the university prepares students for the workforce.
• Benchmarking with Other Institutions: The IQAC is continuously working on to set benchmarks for assessing RRU’s performance against other leading institutions. This will be achieved by participating in national and global ranking frameworks & ISO Certifications.

The IQAC’s role extends beyond conducting one-time reviews. RRU-IQAC function as a continuous monitoring body, analysing data, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending corrective actions to the university administration.
