About RRU

Rashtriya Raksha University, an Institution of National Importance of India, Pioneering National Security and Police University of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is established by the Parliament of India, Act No. 31 of 2020. The University aims to become an academic-research-training ecosystem for national security and police. Its endeavors focus on highly professional national security, police education, research, and training through its qualified civilian and security faculty, committed human resources, motivated participants and students, intellectually stimulating and professional disciplined environment, and world-wide network, sharing, and exchange. It aims at providing security and strategic education in the contemporary and futuristic security and strategic studies and interdisciplinary areas. About Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry Campus

Rashtriya Raksha University, has established a campus at the Puducherry Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology [PIHMCT] and the permanent campus at the Puducherry Technological University.

The courses are tailor-made according to the need and requirement for the police aspirants’ youths of Puducherry with the intent of delivering world class teaching, training, and research through programs that include criminology, police administration, police science, fitness management, forensic and clinical psychology, cyber security, industrial and corporate security. The curriculum is designed for degree, diploma, and certificate programs. These courses inculcate the desirable skills and mindset in the police aspirants and other stakeholders who are willing to build their careers in the field of internal and national security. The campus will also emphasize inculcating high standards of patriotism, discipline, ethics, and moral values in the youth of the UT.

Graduates from the RRU Puducherry campus will be prepared for careers in the forces as officers, analysts, and strategists throughout the government agencies, the national security apparatus, and the private sectors. The teaching and training shall be provided by experts who are competent, dedicated, and highly qualified in their respective fields with the vision of transforming the students into employable individuals and ready to be absorbed into the security forces and private sectors in the region of Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam.

School of Behavioural Sciences and Forensic Investigations (SBSFI)

SBSFI at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) is a distinguished institution offering a range of programs in Behavioural Sciences, Forensic Sciences, Forensic Accounting, and Fraud Investigation at the Masters, Advanced Professional Diplomas, RCI approved Courses, PhD, and other professional courses such as Bachelors in Psychology (NCAHP), M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (RCI registered) for both Indians and NRIs. As one of the few schools at the University level providing such programs, SBSFI is committed to applying theories of behavioural sciences and forensic investigations into practice.

SBSFI aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to become future professionals committed towards crime prevention, investigations, reformation and rehabilitation. By addressing internal security issues and fostering communal harmony, graduates contribute to the overall well-being of the society. The school is well-equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, advanced instruments, psychological test materials and a distinguished faculty dedicated to excellence in research, training, consultancy and education. Theme: Transformational Frameworks in Correctional Rehabilitation and Prison
Reforms: Need for Self-Sustained Mechanism.

Prison system is facing an acute crisis due to severe overcrowding. This overburdened population places a significant financial burden on the nation, and yet, the ultimate goal of rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates often remains vague. This conference is convened to address pressing issues related to high recidivism rates, pervasive stigma, financial burden on state, psychological neglect of inmates and policy level transformations, with the aim of evaluating and reforming the current correctional rehabilitation framework. Each sub theme of the conference will address specific objectives and will highlight key issues and challenges. This conference will establish revolutionary milestones in reforming correctional system by bringing together stakeholders, policymakers, researchers and practitioners to explore a comprehensive range of issues and challenges within the correctional rehabilitation framework. By addressing these critical areas, we can develop and implement effective policy reforms that ensure the humane treatment of inmates, reduce recidivism, imparting entrepreneurial education, promote successful reintegration into society and management of financial assets effectively.

Instructions for Presenters

Proposals are invited for symposium, workshops, and poster presentations.

Workshop on Interested area related to sub themes (60 minutes): The purpose of this workshop is to enable a practitioner, professionals, researcher, or other educational professional/teachers to present specific innovative techniques, methods and tools for psychologists, criminologists, social workers, clinical criminologist and investigators associated with the prison and correctional administration from a practical point of view in relation to the conference theme.

Symposium (60 minutes): Presentations submitted together on a specific topic. This is a talk presentation style. Each integrated symposium generally includes a maximum of four (4) presentations on a common topic based on the conference theme and subthemes. Multi-disciplinary panels are welcome. Kindly note that the convener of the symposium must be a professional or practitioner.

Papers (10 minutes including questions from participants): The purpose of a paper presentation is to present research findings and innovative practices. Papers should be related to the theme and sub-theme of the conference, and report on recent developments. Abstract should be less than 300 words and should include aim, method and key findings. Best Paper will be awarded with cash prize of INR10,000 from each sub theme.

Posters: The purpose is to offer a visual display of presentation, in an attractive way on a given poster space focussing on any sub themes. Presenters should also offer additional information (leaflets, handouts, or brochures) to take away. The normal size of the poster is 30 x 20 inches size. Best Three Poster will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 5,000.

Best Paper Awards: Each scientific session will carry a best paper award. The awardees will be honoured during the valedictory session.

General Format Guidelines for Submitting the Abstract

All in running letters. Don’t use capital letters in the headings or names or anywhere in the abstract.

Title: Should be in the centre alignment with less than 15 words. It has to highlight the variables and there is no need of sample location.

Authors: Should be in the centre alignment with Name, designation, institution, place, and Email ID (if required, the same format to be used for co-authors)

The abstract should be very brief, with points focused without giving subheadings. The introduction, objectives, hypothesis, methodology, sample, tools, results and implications. There is no need for any quotes in the abstract. There is no need for author citation with a year in the abstract. There is no need for sub-headings like introduction, objectives, etc.

Note: Once submitted, the abstract will remain the same.

Publication of Papers

Full paper should be around 5000 words including tables and references. APA 7th edition format for referencing should be followed. Selected papers will be published in our peer reviewed journal. If the paper is suitable for publication, a separate letter will be sent for acceptance of papers. The full paper (optional) can be submitted to iccrpr-2025@rru.ac.in

The Registration fee included a conference kit, food, e-book of conference proceedings and paper publication (upon confirmation). This Conference is self-financing from the participating delegates. All conference participants must pay the conference registration fee. For each paper/poster, at least one author must attend and pay the registration fee, only presenting author/s will be provided with the certificate.

Cancellation Policy: In case of any cancellation or non-attendance, the registration fees is not refundable or adjustable. You have to ensure before registering about your travel documents such as Passport, Visa and travel/medical insurance.
